My Diary of Beauty(我的美麗日記) Yogurt Mask(優酪乳面膜)

我的美麗日記 is so awesome! I loved the Red Wine one so I wanted to try the Yogurt one. It's pretty much for oily skin types for oil control and moisturizing. It smells and feels really nice on the skin. Very cooling and it makes my skin so soft in the end that I don't want to take it off. Overall really enjoyable mask.

LOVE BATH ♥ - 3 Days of Delightful Beauty

LOVE BATH ♥ Bath Salts is kind of like a love story series aimed for young women that want to feel pretty and more attractive. The illustrations on the package and the bath salt packaging is awfully cute and the whole idea of sexy is really subtle but there. As you can see, there are 3 packets in one box which I think are meant to be used in 3 consecutive days(at least that's what I have in mind). In this particular one:

Day 1: Chocolate
Day 2: Mango
Day 3: Citrus

So I did not use this bath box in 3 consecutive days. More like once a month, sort of. Busy girl got busy with things in life. I finally had the chance to try Day 2 the other day. This one is the Mango one which I find is a very odd scent for a bath. Ok, it's not odd but just not common. This bath has some rice particles, quince enzymes and fruit essences.

As you can see, the powder turns the tub into a very deep yellow orange colour. The smell is wonderful too but not overpowering. I expected a fruity scent but it was more of a mango milkshake scent. Maybe almost artificial to some people. I liked it though but the smell faded within minutes of bathing.

My Diary of Beauty(我的美麗日記) Red Wine Mask(紅酒面膜)

我的美麗日記 is really popular in the Taiwan market right now and I'm lucky enough to try it out. I never heard of this line of masks until I went to the grocery store one day to shop. The packaging is quite simple and cute. I love that they have so many masks at a fairly cheap price that can cater to multiple skin types. I bought the Red Wine and the Yogurt one. I have an itch to try the rest especially the pearl one.

This is the back of the box to show the beautiful illustrations. Oh so very sexy!

The bath salt is pretty grainy and it almost looks like brown sugar. The chocolate one smells quite milky and a bit on the warm side. The bath salt has sea salt extracts and egg components to make your skin extra soft.

The dark brown salts turn the tub into a very nice chocolate milk brown colour. The scent isn't strong but you can smell it around the bathroom as the tub fills. It's definitely enjoyable for the smell and as a bath in general. Overall, I really like their love bath concept and the entire 3 day spa treatment. It's just in time for Valentine's day!

美的 BITEKI - MARCH 2008

Photobucket

I bought this magazine just for the dvd. I normally am not a fan of makeup-only magazines but I think I like this one a lot. The pictures are really nice and I can see the new collections! The dvd is by Hiromi Yamamoto, a very famous makeup artist in Japan. She basically teaches how to apply natural makeup with the proper way of putting on base, foundation, eyebrow, mascara, cheek.. etc. Although it is in Japanese, it is fairly easy to understand. I learnt quite a lot from the dvd and magazine! Everyone should buy the MARCH copy!

KOKURYUDO 黑龍堂 World Esthetic Mask - Bali

KOKURYUDO 黑龍堂 World Esthetic Mask is quite an interesting line of masks from different parts of the world to represent different types of skin conditions while using special ingredients. The packaging is quite attractive too. Very collectable and very nice! It's fairly cheap too!

This one here is the BALI one which is an avocado mask that helps tired skin rejuvenates skin. It also helps moisturize and prevent it from drying out. The mask itself as you can see in the packet is this really gross looking pale green mud. It smells quite awful too... like wet cardboard boxes. They say that you need only 1 packet per use but I think you can get 2 because I only used half of the product on my face and it's already too much(see picture). So if you use it twice instead of once then you get even more then you paid for! I must say that after washing the mask off, my skin felt really soft and a slight bit brighter. It was also quite relaxing with a cool feeling on my face while I rested.

Here are the rest of the masks from the line. There is a Hawaii, Korea and Italy one too. These will be reviewed soon...

KATE Eye Shadow

Another KATE Eye Shadow Palette! This palette came after the previous one I talked about. It's design is quite attractive and mature looking. This particular one I have is BU-1 which is shimmery metallic blue shades. To me, this was the most interesting colour combination out of the rest of them.

Blue is very mysterious! Especially the layering of colours so you can do yet another one of those smokey eye things. I believe this palette is slightly different from the previous ones as this one is a little bit wet in texture.

I tried to sample the colours on my hand as you would see it in the palette. On the left is a silvery cream base then there are the 3 building up colours(bottom left and top right) and last but not least is the liner which is a very nice navy blue black with some blue shimmer in it. I really like that a lot! The picture doesn't show much of it but in real life it's very beautiful!

Example of how it would be on your eye. It sort of looks like the previous one but I think the silver(top left) can be used in the inner corners of the eyes. Gives you quite the frosty look.

KATE Eye Shadow

KATE Eye Shadow Palettes are quite famous for it's quality for it's price. This one I have here is one of their palettes in BK-1. I remember specifically choosing this one for the light smoky eye effect for every day. They have quite a few of these palettes lined up but in different shapes but similar colours. I quite like this one because of the dark to light effect. I'm really pining for the pink one too!

This is as it would appear from looking down on the palette. The black shimmer is a wet pigmented shadow that could be worn as shadow or as a liner. The next 3 are greyish shades that build up the light smokey eye. These are very powdery shimmer finishes. The last one is a white shimmery cream shadow. It can be worn alone or as a base for the entire lid before applying the others.

Here is the look your eye should have if you apply the entire palette on. Looks quite stunning, eh? I love it! I tend to get lazy these days and just wear the base and liner. For the price and quality.. it's totally worth it!
